Insurance proceeds
If a covered event caused the damage, the carrier pays most of it and you pay your deductible. Carriers release money in two parts: cash value up front, then the depreciation once the work is finished and invoiced. That second payment is why a contractor who vanishes after the first check leaves you short.
Out of pocket
Wear and tear is not an insurance event. Ask for the line-item scope so you can see what is optional.
Financing
Call and ask. We will tell you what financing options are open on your job and what the terms actually are, rather than putting a rate on a website that may not apply to you.
Terms that should end the conversation
- Full payment before materials are on your property
- Cash only, or checks to a personal name instead of the business
- An offer to cover your deductible, which is illegal in Texas
- A discount that expires today. We price off squares, pitch and material, and those do not change at five o'clock
Get the scope first, then decide how to pay
Call and you get someone who has been on a roof, not a call center.
